傅美珠1951年出生于东马砂崂越古晋，长于艺术氛围浓厚的家庭，父親傅培元是美术教员，母亲陈碧秋也擅于手工刺绣，兄姐也多从事艺术工作。自小耳濡目染，对美术产生浓厚兴趣。1971年与姐姐傅美容负笈新加坡南洋美专进修美术。师事陈宗瑞、施香沱、张荔英、黄奕全、许振第诸先生。1974年毕业于南洋美专西洋画糸。毕业后回返古晋任职于电视台美术工作。1976年重返新加坡。于野马哈音乐学校担任美术教职多年。从事中国画研究，并专研古珠鉴赏与珠链设计。现为专业画家，经营三画廊。现任啸涛篆刻书画会顾问。中华美术研究会、南洋美专校友会会员。

Born in 1951, Poh Bee Choo was raised in an artistic aspiring family in Kuching, Sarawak of East Malaysia. Both her parents and siblings were actively involved in the local art scene. Her father, Poh Poi Guan was an art teacher and her mother, Tan Chiew Pek was proficient in embroidery. Since young, she was exposed to the fascinating world of art. Hence cultivating her strong interest in art. In 1971, she came to Singapore together with her sister Poh Bee Yong to study western painting in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, which was mentored and guided by Chen Chong Swee, See Hiang Too, Georgette Chen, Huang Yik Chuan and See Cheen Tee. After her graduation, she went back to her hometown and was doing stage design in the local TV station. In 1976, she came back to Singapore and became an art teacher in Yamaha music school for many years. Over the years she has been constantly improving and researching in chinese brush painting and jewellery beads design. Aside being a professional artist, she also manages Art Gallery 3. She is also an advisor of Siaw-Tao Chinese Seal Carving Calligraphy & Painting Society, and member of The Society of Chinese Artists and NAFA Alumni Association.
